God gave
my mother a special rose. This rose grew to have 17 petals,
Each petal was special in its own way. But, God decided he needed
this rose more, So he called Mikie home with Him. Missed and

She was
a beautiful young mother making her way in life and had so much
going for her. I guess God needed her back home with Him, more

Michael,
you are my one and only love. The happiness we shared could
never be expressed in words. You made me complete and brought
me and our girls enough happiness to last an eternity. You are
with me, though not physically, yet I still feel your presence.
I still hear your laugh, your voice, and will forever see your
handsome face in our beautiful girls. With all the love I have
in my heart, your wife, Nicole

In Memory
Of Newton Black On January 23, 2005, Newton took his last breath
and was released from his ongoing battle with Leukemia. God
opened his loving, gracious arms and received my husband joyously.
He fought a fight of hope and determination that many would
envy. Newton was a strong man, and loved life. He gave to the
world something that most of us could never give…his own
life. In addition, he gave for the sake of a cure so others
may have the possibility of life. Knowing the high probability
of mortality involved with the bone marrow transplant, my husband
wanted to be an example for others who are seeking treatments
for Leukemia. Even though the possibility of a cure for him
was slim, he was willing to try not just for himself but for
others suffering from this debilitating disease. I am certain
that my loving husband has made a huge difference in the world.
Through his efforts and the efforts of his doctors at MD Anderson
Cancer Hospital Houston, Texas and Florida Hospital Cancer Institute
Winter Park, Florida, nurses, medical personnel, co-workers,
family members and friends, supporters, sponsors and donors….Newton’s
name will live on through his foundation!
