We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and hosted
nightly beginning at 6:00 PM ET but our doors are
always open. GROWW is members helping members.
Where fellowship and support is abundant. While our
branches are for losses of specific needs, Grief Recovery
is where all gather to share experiences, hopes and fears,
laughter and tears. There is no comparison of types of
loss, amount of pain or who hurts worse. Members
bonding because of their loss, helping each other
understand that no matter who they lost, no matter how
unique their losses and their lives are, they may all
grieve differently or heal differently, but pain is pain.
The human soul is astounding. The silent words coming
alive on a computer is an awesome experience. The
feelings felt from faceless faces are extraordinary. But
they jump out at you in such a way that they become so
real and so intense. This is the key to the success of
GROWW. It's like reaching into your inner self without
even realizing what is happening. It is your mind
working through feelings of the heart that brings out the
words through your fingers without your even realizing
it. Thoughts you never knew you had, coming alive
through words you see on a screen but words that come
alive through your eyes.

Grief Recovery ~ Our Main Room

Please join us here when your support branches
are not scheduled to meet.
The
GROWW rooms consist of thousands of people, each with different
lifestyles and opinions. We do not judge anyone's right to grieve
or their right to live their lives. There are stages of grief that
everyone who comes here will go through. The roller coaster of emotions
that each of us feel. The good days and the bad. This is why we
have created a second room to our main support rooms. GROWW for
Widowed has GFW2 or the "Moving On"
room. Grief Recovery has HomeGROWWn.
The "second" rooms are for fellowship, for camaraderie
but they are just as much for support as the main rooms. They are
also GROWW rooms and are to be used with the same amount of integrity.
Because these rooms were provided to members for fellowship, does
not mean they can be rooms where "all the rules" don't
apply. The rooms are provided for the support of those who
need support. The main rooms, while very often there is laughter
and fun, is for all members who come for support. If they are in
a bad place and you find it difficult to listen because you don't
want to "go back there", then the second rooms are there
for you to visit and fellowship, laugh and joke but to always support
one another.
