Heather Lyn LeVeque

July 26,1985 - October 21, 2004

Soldotna resident Heather L. LeVeque died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Flagstaff, Ariz. She was 19. There will be a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai, followed by cremation. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Sterling. Pastor Bob Reasner will officiate. A celebration of life will be held at the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center following the service. Miss LeVeque was born July 26, 1985, in Soldotna, the daughter of Michael and Linda LeVeque. She grew up and was raised in Soldotna and graduated from Kenai Alternative High School in 2003. She was in Arizona attending Coconino Community College, aspiring to become a social worker. "Heather had a heart of gold and shared her wealth with everyone she came in contact with. Her beautiful face and sparkling smiles will not be forgotten. She was a forever and faithful friend to all those that knew and loved her," her family said. "We will be forever thankful for the gifts that she has given us, such as her compassionate heart and sweet carefree spirit. One of the greatest lessons Heather taught everyone was to be nonjudgmental of others and give liberally. She truly strived to walk as Jesus did and loved him with all of her heart." Miss LeVeque is survived by her parents, Michael LeVeque and Linda LeVeque; siblings, Holly Mercado, Naomi Mercado and Kris LeVeque; grandparents, Chuck and Sharon LeVeque and Palmer and Betty Shirk; nieces and nephews, Sierra Madden, Anthony and Nicholas Griglione, Mariah Parnell and Joshua Hieber; aunts and uncles, Debra LeVeque, Amy LeVeque, Kathleen LeVeque, Tom and Sharon Shirk and Jim and Jeanie Shirk; and cousins, Carisa, Christina, Ashley, Kailey, Kyler, Richie and Aaron.

She truly lived every day like it was her last. Senior in Vista Alternative at the time of her death but is now officially a graduate. She loved everyone and always was there for whoever needed her. She was beautiful, smart, outgoing, a rebel, and a true earthly angel. We are gonna miss her forever!!
